(2060) Rhian Aes Sedai: You need a ter'angreal, Morti. An item imbued with the One Power. Such an item can only be used by one gifted with saidar, as I am, or with saidan, as a male channeler is. Or a sorcerer. Using the ter'angreal will amplify your power tenfold, sometimes a hundredfold. It depends on the need of the caster. We do not have such an item at this time, and I am not sufficiently trained in the One Power to use such an item.

(2060) DM: The passage leads to a room covered with black marble streaked with red veins. Several pillars rise from the floor to support the 50' high ceiling. The pillars are carved into the shapes of differently colored snakes intertwined with each other. Each serpent's head is pressed against the ceiling and has two sapphires inset in its eyes, gems the size of your fist.

(2060) DM: Polished gray lifelike statues of yuan-ti abominations stand to either side of the ramp. Both are in menancing poses, each with a katana and a wakizashi in hand.
** (2031) Morti grimaces at the bodies, sighting in nausea, "They could work on their decorations though." Turns his eyes skyward to relieve himself, taking a moment to study the star mural. **

(2060) DM: At the far north end of the chamber stands a gigantic 50' high statue of Ssith'tarn, the god of the yuan-ti. It appears as a huge ebony winged cobra, poised to strike. Two gigantic black opals serve as the idol's eyes. It seems to gaze downward at you. A ramp runs upward from each side of the curved wall and disappears behind the statue's outstretched wings.

(2060) DM: The walls depict more horrid scenes of snakes and serpent men bringing carnage on humanity in unspeakable and repulsive ways. You can hear a steady metallic gonging elsewhere in the complex.

(2060) DM: There is a closed iron door to the S and a passage leading to the main temple area to the S.

(2060) DM: The interior of the room is covered in the same black marble with red streaks as the rest of the temple. There are three chests here, two wooden ones and an iron trunk.
